Testimonial
"Thanks for a great day last Sunday, I did enjoy it very much.
I thought there was a good range of locations for the day and the time did go very quickly. The rules that you explained, for setting everything up were very helpful. I found it easier as the day went on to think more about what you said, although it probably didn't look like it to you!
Thanks for the workshop notes, they will help me as I will be able to refer back. It's all to easy to forget some of the points. I have printed them off and the copy is in my camera bag. The Lightroom tips, during the food stops were very helpful too. As I said to you at the time, I had no real idea about how to adjust the images properly from the raw file. The run through that you have kindly typed out will be invaluable for me too.
Yes a great day, thank you. I learnt a lot. I will certainly recommend you."

3 hr Photography Workshop at Borth-Y-Gest from sunrise

Picture this: - Borth-y-Guest is a pretty coastal village set on a small horseshoe bay with amazing views across the estuary to Harlech Point, the Rhninogg Mountains and Tremadog Bay beyond. The beaches at Borth-y-Gest are to die for. Smooth sands sweeping down to the shore line - all at the base of magnificent cliff tops. The dawn glow and sunrise illuminate the estuary with some truly magical light
1 hr Photography Workshop at Llyn Cwellyn

Picture this: - Llyn Cwellyn lies in a beautiful valley with a high ridge and forest on its western shore and Mountain Snowdon overlooking it from the East. The lake provides a spectacular location in spring, with the vibrant colours of the hillside often reflecting in its still waters. An array of rocks and small shingle beaches provide excellent foreground interest.
1.5 hrs Photography Workshop at Llyn Dinas

Picture this: - Llyn Dinas is a 60 acre, fairly shallow mountain lake with panoramic, awe-inspiring scenery and a charming boathouse. This still pool of water reflects the shape of nearby Dinas Emrys and it is said to have been the site of a long-ago battle between Owein, one of King Arthur's greatest warriors, and a giant.
2.5 hr Photography Workshop at Llyn Mymbyr

Picture this: - Llyn Mymbyr are two spellbinding lakes (also known as the Capel Curig lakes) resting in a tranquil valley which is backed by a rugged, mountainous landscape. Cast your eyes across the waters to the majestic Snowdon Horseshoe and the snow-tipped peaks of Grib Goch.
1 hr Photography Workshop at Llyn Gwynant

Picture this: - Llyn Gwynant is a beautiful 125 acre natural lake lying in a steep sided, glacial valley below the southern slopes of Snowdon. It’s a popular location for canoeing and kayaking and provides endless possibilities. In the right conditions with no wind, there are some superb reflection shots to be had here.
1.5 hr Sunset Photography Workshop at Borth-Y-Gest

Picture this: - The seascape setting at Borth-y-Gest is inspirational at dusk, offering a fine array of small boats harboured in the estuary at low tide which make fantastic subjects to study and shoot from different perspectives as the sun sets.

What if the weather’s bad?
We love bad weather -some of the best photos have been taken in situations where there was rain, snow, or wind. Wear a waterproof and join us to experience the amazing shots you can produce when the weather is poor.
Dramatic, storm laden skies can produce excellent images as rays of light burst through the cloud structure intermittently. This in turn lights the landscape in a very diffused and moody way. Rainbows are another good reason why you shouldn't pack your camera away when the weather turns bad. The diffused light will saturate the colours and make your images stand out from the crowd. When it rains outside the moisture and droplets tend to create a shiny surface on most materials which can create beautiful images. The clouds that accompany the rain also diffuse the available sunlight, spreading it equally and removing shadows. Extreme storm photos are one of the only types of photos that can bring fear and wonder to the viewers who have the privilege of seeing them.
Do you need to be fit?
No. There are car parks next to all locations and the walking on this Photography Workshop is not too strenuous.
