The Location
6.5 hrs Photography Workshop in the Wyre Forest, Worcestershire

Picture this: - The old Christopher Cadbury family summerhouse is set on a small secluded ridge in the heart of the Wyre Forest. The location offers a quirky and different setting in which to shoot fashion and is surrounded by some amazing woodland. The sun will move across the old building during the day and provide some truly magical light in which to shoot.

Composition

Picture this: - The old shack will provide plenty of different composition opportunities with excellent foreground interest.

Using the light

Picture this: - By moving our model in and out of the natural sun/shade we can create images which each have a different “feel” about them.

Working with White Balance

Picture this: - We can use the white balance settings on our cameras in order to produce images that are warm and cold or just very creative.

Move around

Picture this: - By moving our model around the surroundings and using different outfits we will create images which each have an individual look.

Warm it up
Picture this: - As we start to lose the sunlight, we will shoot using a gold reflector in order to keep our subject looking warm.

What if the weather’s bad?
We love bad weather -some of the best photos have been taken in situations where there was rain, snow, or wind. Wear a waterproof and join us to experience the amazing shots you can produce when the weather is poor.

Dramatic, storm laden skies can produce excellent images as rays of light burst through the cloud structure intermittently. This in turn lights the subject in a very diffused and moody way. The diffused light will saturate the colours and make your images stand out from the crowd. When it rains outside the moisture and droplets tend to create a shiny surface on most materials which can create beautiful images. The clouds that accompany the rain also diffuse the available sunlight, spreading it equally and removing shadows.

Do you need to be fit?
No. The car park is just a 10 minute walk from the location and the walking on this Photography Workshop is not too strenuous.
